Basic Life Support & CFR Instructor

The Basic Life Support for HealthCare Providers instructor course is designed to give the instructor candidate the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver any of the American Heart Association and Irish Heart Foundation CPR and AED Courses. This includes Friends and Family CPR and AED, HeartSaver CPR and AED and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers. 

Students will be required to complete an online Instructor Essentials course. This course prepares the student instructor to deliver the provider course. It also gives the student an insight into the policies and procedures to be followed when delivering the provider course. 

Over the two days, students will complete lectures, role-play, simulation and discussions revolving around the theory, practical and delivery of the provider courses. 

Students who successfully complete this course will be designated instructor candidates and must complete the Irish Heart Foundation monitoring process to gain full instructor status.
